KC Digital Solutions ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Doser mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.
The short version: your data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information on external servers.
Information Storage
All data you enter into Doser is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage). This includes:
- Children's names and profiles
- Medication names, dosages, and schedules
- Dosage log history (when doses were given)
- Notification and reminder preferences
This data never leaves your device. We do not have access to it, and it is not transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, process, or store:
- Personal identification information
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Health or medical records
- Cookies or tracking technologies
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.
If you enable push notifications, the App uses OneSignal to deliver medication reminders. Only the scheduled notification times and an anonymous device identifier are sent to OneSignal. Your personal data (names, medications, dosages) is never transmitted and remains on your device. Notification content is generic and does not contain any health information.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, the App uses push notifications powered by OneSignal to send medication reminders. Only the scheduled times and an anonymous device identifier are transmitted. The notification content is generic (e.g., "Time for a scheduled dose") and does not include any personal information such as names or medications.
Permissions
The App may request the following device permissions:
- Notifications — to send medication dose reminders
- Exact Alarms — to ensure reminders are delivered at the precise scheduled time
These permissions are used solely for delivering local reminders and do not involve any data transmission.
Children's Privacy
Doser is designed to help parents and caregivers track children's medications. While the App stores children's names and medication information, all of this data remains on the parent's or caregiver's device and is never collected or transmitted by us.
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by not collecting any personal information from children or any other users.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete your data at any time by:
- Clearing the App's data through your device settings
- Uninstalling the App (this permanently deletes all App data)
Data Security
Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features (screen lock, encryption, etc.). Since no data is transmitted over the internet, there is no risk of data interception during transmission.
